How to change your Desktop Resolution in Windows XP

This guide will show you how to change your screens resolution in Windows XP. By doing this you can make text and icons appear bigger or smaller.

We start by right clicking on an empty space on your desktop and click on properties. It is highlighted in blue.



You will get this screen please click on the Settings tab also highlighted in blue.



Here you will move the slider up and down in the blue box, a recommended screen resolution for 17" screens is 1024x768, for 19" screens you can try 1280x1024.



After this click apply the screen will go black for a a short second and will reappear in the resolution you selected. If you are happy with this resolution click Ok.



At this point you are done.
